The actual success story of the project started in June 2013 with the predecessor of the “Genius Cab”,
the “Young Generation Cab”. During a two-day workshop, ten trainees developed their own ideas and suggestions
for cabs and presented a prototype at the CEMAT trade fair in Hanover.
The “Young-Generation Cab” attracted so much interest from visitors that students of TU Dresden University
of Technology, young equipment operators from Berufsförderwerk Sachsen vocational promotion center and span style=”color: #808080;”>trainees from the companies HELLA and Fritzmeier met up at a mountain lodge near Schliersee in Bavaria the
end of 2014 to brainstorm, where they came up with more than 38 ideas and suggestions, surpassing all expectations
of participants by far.
“Engineering is clearly paramount in the project of the Concept Cab Cluster. That is why we wanted to make sure
to include the young generation of our drivers, engineers and marketeers of tomorrow,” says Alexandra Herrmann,
project manager at Fritzmeier.
“Their involvement has greatly increased practical relevance and commitment to the company and brought out
outstanding creative potential.”
